Los Angeles avian vet

Does anyone know a good avian vet in the Los Angeles area that doesn’t cost an arm and leg? I have a few choices, but I would like everyone’s input. Thank you!

Depends on where you live in the LA area and how far you want to drive.
Never been to her but if you live near Culver City you may want to check into Dr. Schachterle at ACCESS Specialty Animal Hospital. Don't take my birds there but two of my dogs go to ACCESS (Culver City & South Bay) to see their specialists.
Don't know what they charge for birds but might be pricey.

Complete workup around $475.00

Not all of the vets in the search or the list are avian certified but most of them should have lots of experience with birds.

Hello again! @Just-passn-thru , I just wanted to know: what does each checkup include? Is the well bird checkup just a physical, or does it include bloodwork? Thank you!

A wellness check by avian vet where I live is $55. Plus additional charges for any testing and medication. I would call the vets office and ask because prices are different.

When I take my birds in for a basic check up the only thing that is included is grooming. Everything else is extra. I think I pay about $58 for an basic check up. I'll have to go check one of my invoices.

I know LA has a high cost of living. One of my nurse friends went there to a large hospital to work. He thought he would be happy but he felt the people in general were very self centered and the world was all about me me me. He left shortly after that and went back home to Philippines.
