I agree with Saemma, you have done a monumental work. I guess it's just my browser then. I'll have to see if the acronyms display on the other browsers I have installed. I could give you tons more parrot and rhamphastid acronyms on the lesser kept species but the last thing I want is to give you more work...!

Had to rebuild the keywords for all threads. I forgot I hadnt done that when I rebuilt the search index. That took over 4 hours and I had started at 10pm. I said to myself... the keywords will have to wait Im glad it is working now Its still rebuilding so it may take a little bit for them to show up in all posts.

This is a much better format. I have used a few message boards with this format so I definitely prefer it over the old version. I can finally hide signatures (they make the pages 3x longer when they're enabled).

I guess I can start with the rhamphastid acronyms since even their common names are often long and very tedious to type out. Does the acronym descriptor (to borrow the term from Titanis ) differentiate between acronyms and words spelled like acronyms? Like TAG (a parrot) and tag (the verb or noun) or MIA (missing in action) and Mia (a name)?

Though I suppose I'll find out after I post this.

at first, I was not a big fan as I am on dial up and it is slower, but now I am liking it..and I like the like button and getting likes..just a little extra..and I love reading the blogs..and oh I just love Avian Avenue period....it took this old dog a while longre to get used to it..thanks for all the great efforts!!

The fact that the new/old threads are like they used to be (with the hawkhead indicator), I'm not quite happy with the new layout. That was the one thing back, as I find it easier to identify new threads that way (difference in colour instead of just a difference in shade of blue).

And it should be getting a new look, from what they were saying? Wonder if this will affect the way people dis/like the layout? I wonder when they'll customize the look?
