I have a female celestial p'let so can't compare her to a male. Her breeder said females can make gentler pets though. Gizmo is gentle, quiet, intelligent (she does a few tricks) and pretty much perfect :)

From experience with males their personality is varied. I have a very sweet cuddly male, had two docile tamed but not cuddly males, and have a terrified of life male. Never had females, but am told that they bond very heavily. So if you're looking for a p'let that will bond strongly I think it's all about what you want. My Ollie is heavily bonded with me and as some people like to call it, he's my "little blue tumor". ;)
