I have a clan of 14 Linnies and as of today, 4 eggs by two hens, a cobalt and her daughter a creamino. We have had massive egg failure since our relocation from SoCal to
Eastern WA nine months ago. Last year at this time I had more than 20 Linnies with all different mutations, from double dilute to double dark factor. I culled the green line which had evolved into dilute and double dilute (lime) greens. My culled population amounted to only three breeding pairs of the blue lines and not to be counted, a couple of best guy friends, pairing of a cobalt and dilute cobalt. This year I have breeding pairs of creamino/pied dilute cobalt, turquoise/turquoise and cobalt/turquoise/ino . What I really want are "back basic green" factors. Preservation stock, as in the big bulky German imports of the '80's. I have only two male birds who are progeny of the Ohio stock imported from Germany in the '80's . Both are mutated, one is cobalt and the other is turquoise. The rest of my stock are from Florida and California with no histories and no bands. I will gladly consider trading birds or even gifting birds to those who are willing to embrace the rigors of proper nutrition and love of the species.

Louie would be jealous for sure. A single Linnie will bond with you closer than if he had a mate. I must say I love watching my pair spoil eachother. Its so adorable when they preen eachother.
