Let’s try this art thing out

I have a tad of experience animating however that was mainly detailed tutorials I found on YouTube. I’m trying to branch out (going into digital art) and instead of copying styles I find on the internet, I wanna start developing my own thing. So if any of you want me to draw your animals I would be more then happy to. I can’t promise that it will be accurate or even good. But that’s all a part of learning, right? so if you want a somewhat mediocre pic of your pet just drop a pic down below and I'll get back to you in at most a week

Here are a few photos. The violet one with white feathers on the back and wings is Murphy, a violet spangled male. Other bird is Mickey, female cobalt blue. Do what you will and have fun. That is the important thing about being an artist, having fun while you create.

So, you want to develop your own style? That's terrific! Here are some pics of my goofy recombinant family members...present...and two beloved and missed members. Have a ball! Do anything you want to their likenesses! Can't wait to see the results! This should keep you busy! I'm going to post a few of each to help you capture their personalities! The first is my guy, Dusty!

My Heart Dog, Diggity... seven years and I still miss him like it was yesterday... sadly this is the only remaining photo I have of
him (long story):

Miyetti, a Band Tailed Pigeon I raised from a fledgling last summer and who is now free and doing what birds are meant to do (I still see him from time to time in the old neighborhood). Miyetti was my first real experience with a bird.



And of course, my new Master (I am a Birdy Slave, without a doubt!), the one and only...TD BIRD! I'm including this one to show the grin on this poor, abused baby's face... I doubted he'd make it thru the first night...what a trooper! This was day #1.

@Alien J I have finished Murphy so I'll get started on Dusty tomorrow. I had quite a bit of fun painting Murphy (although I have to admit I didnt take to much creative liberty) and I found bending the colors alot of fun.

Yeah I meant blending, whoops. Personnely I find digital art almost exactly the same as traditional except for a few things, first off I find it easier to color in without leaving any white spots, also you don’t usually have to keep on buying materials. My personnal favorite feature of digital art is the undo button, as a person who messes up constantly I find it a lot easier to paint when you don’t have to worry about having to start over again.

I am in love with all of your birds. You have TWO macaws, a DUCK, AND a cockatoo. Am I jealous or am I REALLY jealous?? Those are my dream birds. A friendly duckling, a cockatoo and a macaw. And you have them all.

I pretty much just learned as much of flash as I could from YouTube videos and the controls pretty much transfer everywhere else. A pretty cool flash toturial channel is Alan Becker if I were to recommend a free drawing software it would be Medibang Paint Pro. It isn’t very the best software in the world but it’s perfect for beginners. It also doesn’t take very long to learn, which is a plus.
