I don't think I've really shared photos of Leia before, but I'm transferring photos from my phone to my computer and thought I'd share a few photos here! One of them is of her shredding a wooden coffee stirrer - turns out those are fun to turn into tiny splinters.

And here's one from yesterday of her chilling out on my knee. It's so hard to capture the rich, shimmering bronze of her wings but this is pretty close.They really do look metallic.

Here she is playing a game she's invented. It involves ripping up a birdie bagel then trying to drop the shredded bits in your human's mug. She looks so very pleased with herself!

Honestly, I never have wishes of being younger than I am.... I earned all the stuff the years have brought to my 64th... BUT, when I see some of these gorgeous larger birds, I DO wish I could live long enough to adopt one, or turn back the clock a bit to assure I would be here for their lifespan! Leia had me with those cute little eyes, not to mention her metallic bronze wings!

I was going to say the same thing! Not only are there tons of birds that need good homes, but I'll bet the older ones aren't adopted as often.
