Mr. I-don't-eat-anything-but-dry-food is up on his gym happily nibbling away at fresh kale. It's the first fresh thing he's taken more than two consecutive bites of. He's taking the tiniest bites imaginable, but it's a start. Kale certainly wouldn't be my first choice, but it's great stuff if you can choke it down.

It's great for him.I even made kale chips one day they were good!(little olive oil and garlic)

all my birds love kale :D

For my budgies it must be left a little wet and must be hung up or they won't touch it - if we lay it on the cage floor they get irritate with us BUT they can tear it down it falls on the floor and they will go down and devour it

they like to take a bath on it while Eating it LOL

Kale is one of the healthiest vegetables for people too.
It has lots of vitamin A, maybe that's why the birds like it.
It tastes best to people when they got some frost. So, I buy it this time of year at a local market. It is almost the size of a shrub. I steam it, chop it and freeze it for the winter.
