Just got home ...

So we just got home and he couldn't be happier ...he is in the quarantine cage and has eaten some chop and some seed/nut mixture and then was hanging out on his swing where I caught a pic of him ...he is pretty tired after the 3 1/2 hr ride home so I think he will just chill for the rest of the afternoon ...I couldn't be happier with him ..

OOohhh be careful....He's in a new home so he's nervous but donlt want to encourage the screaming.

I think I'd go over when he was quiet & get a covering on a few sides.

Yeah he already has covering ...I haven't pulled it all the way down on the 3 sides Ill just wait and see how he does

Definitely ignore the screaming. Covering is not always successful with a Goffin's or with other birds for that matter. My Goffin's would make holes in anything I covered her cage with and I would find her looking out through the holes. Perhaps Harley won't do that. Also be careful with the rope perches and rope toys. He may shred those and you will have strings hanging off. That's what my Goffin's did so now she just gets toys with sisal, leather, jute or hemp and her perches are all natural wood.

I will watch for the shredding for sure since most of his perches in his big cage are rope ...over the next few months Ill start to switch them out for wood if he starts shredding ...he sure is a sweet lil guy ...but I will have to watch the screaming issue he is already screaming when I leave the room but I only go in when he is quiet so I don't encourage the screaming ...And when I do go in he looks for pets and mumbles to me as I am petting him its so cute

He's insecure. Been at a rescue. Now he's found some attention & he does not want to lose it.
With time he'll figure out that things will be OK

Well it hasn't been to bad ...its get ready for bed time now so I have dimed the lights and covered his cage on 3 sides and he is still screaming ...lol...I'm sure my daughter is going to love this when she gets home ..lol... but Im sure once he gets into the routine of the house he will get better ...plus being in quarantine sucks your away from the rest of the flock all alone in a new house ..its got to be scary ...Tyrion and Lagatha would sure like to know what is making all the racket ...every time he goes into a screaming fit they raise their heads and listen really hard trying to figure it out ..lol...its really funny ...my house is going to be very interesting for the next lil while
