About nesting behavior.
I will write only about my bird. Chico started laying eggs and having that hormonal times, when she saw boxes. I was afraid that JB will be the same, but to avoid that:

• I ordered Jolly Ball with hardware only
• removed hardware
• placed JB upside down(the hole was at the bottom-not at the top)
• drilled 3 new holes in the same place up as they were at the bottom
• connected hardware, decorate JB

I'm not saying that that's gonna work for you, every bird is different. It's working for my Chico

The Linnie Mice LOVE their Jolly Ball...the five Hillbillies will all try to squish into it at one time and sleep there!

We have a big one for the medium sized birds but it needs chain to hang it and I've been too lazy to do so.
