Jean Eckart Pattison, renowned breeder of African parrots, has sadly died. She was the owner of African Queen Aviaries and was widely considered to be one of the finest breeders of African Greys and other African parrots in America for the past 40 years. She will be greatly missed.

Oh no this is so sad. What a loss she is to the parrot world especially. Her family is in my thoughts.

I am so very sorry to hear that. She was not just an amazing breeder, but a kind person. I met her at an AFA convention years ago and she was very willing to converse and share her knowledge with everyone.

Very sad news, and such a loss to the community. I hope her passing was peaceful.
