I was thinking it must have been the owls. The three accomplices seem sorry, but that white one appears to be hiding. Clearly Nikolai and Jazzy were just cleaning up, Mom.

Last night was so hard. When I got to bed it hit me. She used to come up to me as soon as I laid down to give me a head butt and then would wait impatiently for me to lift the covers so she could crawl in next to me and cuddle right up and purr. I didn't fall asleep until 6am and then I think it was from pure exhaustion.

She is now buried at my mother in laws under a giant apple tree. I have a memorial marker ordered and on the way

Oh, I'd missed this.

I'm so sorry for your loss and that you were blindsided by such a terrible diagnosis. You already know you made the right choice for her but I'm sure that doesn't make it hurt any less.
I'm so glad she had such a long life and as able to be healthy to an old age. And that you were able to share so much of your's with her.
She really does manage to look both mischievous and friendly in one picture, what a good girl.

It hurts to read about her no longer joining you in bed, I'm so sorry. I hope the last couple of nights have been more restful and less painful.
