Thanks. Swinging is his favorite thing to do.
The swing had a perch which he removed so we replaced it and he removed that one and so we tried again with another perch but he destroyed that one, too.
The perch weighs down the swing and without one he can swing faster and higher. He sometimes swings hanging upside down.

Perhaps is was meant to be that he should be an trapeze artist, but he ended up in a birds body?

Maybe he was a trapeze artist in one of his past lives.

A few of the red-bellies like to swing, too, but none of them are as adept at it as Jake is. When he wants to get off the swing he just hangs upside down while it is still in motion and jumps down to the perch or he reaches up and grasps one of the top bars with his beak to stop it. If he is on the swing and I try to push him he will grip a top bar so I can't move the swing. He likes to do it by himself. It always amazes me when I watch him swing. He sometimes says, "Whee, Jakey" while he is swinging.

So Rudy has never had a swing? Sophie and Mulder have grape wood swings from Jan. Too heavy to move so they can swing themselves. Mulder took his apart and I fixed it and then he took it apart again and I need to put it back together. The other red-bellies have hardwood circular swings or Polly's hardwood arch swings but those are a bit on the heavy side, too. I was going to buy a Polly's swing for Jake but then I thought that he probably would hate it since he wouldn't be able to swing as high or as fast. If you give Rudy a swing, I hope he likes it.

Know nothing about those swings. Good idea to find out about the metal. Jake's is a metal frame and then a perch would fit into it so if he removes the perch which he did he can still use the swing. Jake's is similar to the second link you posted but it's a square/rectangular frame. I don't even know where I got Jake's swing. He's had it since he was very young. I've wanted to swap it out but I know if I do that he will not be happy.

They use to come with sisal but now they come with cotton rope which I removed.
