Perhaps the original friend choose to do something else with the parrot.....without her knowing they did that.
@SeverelySweet if that is the case, that was totally out of your control. You did what you were asked to do, we can not do more than that.
Please stay in contact with them though, the parrot may circle back around and you'll be able to get the parrot then.
Oh - yes, @SeverelySweet , whenever you get out from under the Renaissance wagon or whatever has happened, that is fine. Things happen. People change their minds. It is no problem. Even if it is YOU that changed your mind.

Oh my gosh. This is so sad to see. I’m not even sure I see a perch in the cage. I hope @SeverelySweet is okay. Maybe she got the flu? Maybe they want money for the bird? I”m sure we can come up with the funds somehow. @finchly please let us know if you hear anything.

@Elijah131 this was months ago, we got as far as planning a day to meet and then...nothing.
Sometimes people come to AA with a very sick bird and want advice. They get it and we never know the outcome. Just happened recently with a parakeet that had a very swollen abdomen. I keep dreaming about the bird too.
