Looks like this will be my new cage. (Now I gotta come up with a ton of money.)

Wow... I was thinking maybe they might have the Loro for cheaper at a different website than hayneedle... boy was I mistaken! Amazon is getting around $407. for the same cage, and Ebay had one like this listed for over $500!
It's looking like the 285. is a bargain comparatively.
I am always trying to save a buck on my budget... so thought I'd check!
Good luck - maybe Santa will be good to you this year? Lottery? :wacky:

:laugh-bounce: Then how do you put it together??? Snaps? Or is it already assembled?
Here's a video of assembling an Avian Adventures cage. Not the Loro but still similar.

Carol Franks was the original owner of Avian Adventures and sold the company to Midwest Metals/Home 4 Pets.

BTW, the Loro will most probably come with a wooden dowel rather than the yellow cow wood. Midwest has made some changes and one of those changes was replacing the natural wood with dowels. :(

Wow - this assembly is impressive. It must be very well built to assemble as shown. And that perch! I love that perch. The ball door locks? Wow! I can see why they are getting the asking price.
Unfortunately, they are now using wooden dowels instead of the yellow cow wood. At least it is easy to replace perches. The ball door locks are not the best. Other cage manufacturers use that style, too. The prices of the cages have gone up but sometimes you can find a bargain. I'm trying to find reasonably priced AA Chiquitas...so far, no luck.

The hardest part of the cage to put together for me was the play top but you don't have to deal with that with the Loro.

I don't like the door lock at all.
I have perches from my old cage and feed cup.
I want a flat top for my own play gym.
$274 ouch.
Gotta start saving...

The cage spacing should be 1/2" to 5/8"
