So y'all remember that lump on Roxie's elbow that they were supposed to remove but didn't?

Yeah. It's growing.

It feels like it has nodes to it now. Those weren't there before. And it's spreading.

I'm gonna tell dad ASAP. I want it looked at and removed. The vet said he'd take care of it no charge. I don't want it to become something awful.

I don't really know why I'm telling yall, I guess I'm just looking for support.

I'm glad the vet has offered to take care of it. I'm hoping that these lumps are totally benign and that there's an explanation for them growing on such a youngster. Hang in there Bee.

So we went to the vet today. He checked it out and says he doesn't like that... It's grown a lot. He says to do surgery as soon as possible, so she's scheduled for surgery on the 2nd. He'll send it out for biopsy.

I'm trying to prepare myself mentally, for what could come next after this. I don't know if I can. I feel sick to my stomach.

We'll take all the good thoughts we can get.

I will be thinking of you and Roxie. I am very glad your vet is so proactive and kind! Stay positive, you never know until you know.

Today Roxie needs good hugs and vibes around :) :hug8:

I can't believe it's going to be the day after tomorrow (it is 10 to midnight on 3/31 as of typing). I'm so scared. I'm not ready for my little girl to leave home, I'm not ready for what may come next, I'm not ready to lose my baby.

I can't stop crying.

Take a deep breath. You can't know until you know. Tomorrow may rewrite your path, but it will not ruin the future. There is still time for many positive moments. I will be sending you good vibes and wishing for the best.

That's just freaky sounding. I hope they are able to find out what is going on with your girl.

I'm so sorry, I hope it's benign and the surgery goes well.

Usually as mentioned, benign...in many cases a calcium/fat deposit , a cyst says my wife...certified emergency surgical vet assistant, Ann arbor, mi.
In rare cases , a blood deposit from an injury. And all are capable of growing.

Still no word from the vets. Usually they call when they get out of surgery. Hopefully we'll get a call soon. No news is good news, right?

The vet called, we can pick her up at 2. Apparently it was way more invasive than they expected. We'll have to restrain her movement and they're sending her home with a bunch of stuff to keep her calm.

I just hope that it's nothing bad.

Wow, well I'm glad to hear that you caught it when you did! I hope that it isn't anything bad, hopefully with some TLC and R&R she'll feel better than ever.
