Finally got a java tree for the flock. Its a double, it's quite impressive, plenty of space for all my birds to enjoy. I put it togeather myself , not an easy task but I was determined . View attachment 260223 When there's a will there's a way! View attachment 260222
Wow, very nice indeed! Now we just need to see the flock on it (the flock in your siggie looks gorgeous in their own right).

That stand is amazing! There is so much space to put toys for them to enjoy.

I introduced them to it this morning , Their confused about the change form their old indoor play stand , I had a makeshift play stand, a converted bakers rack . Bentley was somewhat brave to briefly land on it. Give it a few days to get adjusted once they get the feel for it I know they will love it.

It's almost to beautiful for them use , the platform is beautiful , I hate to cover it up. for now I will put news paper down. I'm going to get a clear shower curtain , measure the distance between the trunks ,slit one side to fit between the trunks.

I always hated using the ugly newspaper. Shower curtain idea is genius!

Me too ! I have a large eucalyptus trunk in their outside aviary. I been asking my husband to craft me one for the house on a platform. I got tired of waiting ...don't think it's ever gonna happen . I broke down and invested in this , it really is an investment. I've had the manzanita type never liked them really. Java Wood is very graceful , helps the environment plus side.

I used to use a plastic shower curtain, but it was really hard to clean - unless you're going to continually replace it?? Instead I now opt for really cheap cotton throw rugs that I can shake off and throw in the washer. I have a bunch of them, and just rotate through them. It is nicer for the washer to scrape some of the poop off before I put it in the washer, but even with that step, it's far easier than the shower curtain.

I can see where you make a cut on each trunk. I assume it was to make it easier to work with(?). How did you re-attach the upper portions?

They come shipped with the top separate from the bottom. It has big pins so you just line it up and drop it on. :). I’ve bought two from Wayfair. Kinda wishing I just got the double also but since my girls don’t always love each other I need to be able to separate them sometimes.

You will know they've accepted it when you find poop on it ...
