Its a girl!

Well no need for a DNA test now. Millie the African Grey we took in laid two eggs over the past couple days.

I know small birds can lay a lot of eggs where as big birds only lay a couple. Does anyone with greys have an experience with how many yours laid?

WE ARE NOT BREEDING HER, she has no men in her life lol! More so asking to get an idea on how long to expect this to go on and roughly how many fake eggs to buy.

Yes she has been my moody girl for a while! We have been working closely with our vet with her and our other plucker we took in so I'll be giving him a call tomorrow with this update. He already has her on a supplement and I believe there is some calcium in it but I'll verify with him to make sure she's getting enough.

Its crazy I went from 4 out of 4 birds (in my profile picture) that happened to all be male and I never had to worry about this to taking on two girls, its like uncharted territory for me I always knew a little about it and the general concerns about it but not super specifics like how many eggs to expect!

It is honestly a relief not having to guess her gender anymore. We have the stuff here for a DNA test I've just been trying to give her time to settle in before getting all up in her business too much.

Thanks everyone! She thankfully has been getting better and better with me but I am very happy she's obvious with her expressions lol! She just is a diva that's all LOL
