I like that idea of having the penicillin thing for birds too as it would probably kill the infection that almost always sets in from cat attacks. I rescued Starling that a cat had gotten and he had a few minor scratches but was doung great, within a day and a half the saliva crap had infected him and he died:( If I had some of that available it might have given him a chance, at least better then he had, but same thing he left us safe, warm, and fed. I doubt most vets would have helped him as they are invasive but just couldn't let him get eaten.
