As far as I can tell, silicone is supposed to be safe when it is labeled as PTFE free (since it’s not really just Teflon) It seemed decently promising and I was hopeful to find a nice muffin pan for cheap, but I am a bit worried about if anyone knows about this particular brand or anything I should look out for? It says it’s made without added toxins like Teflon and harmful alternatives to it, but I’m worried about green-washing. Any information is appreciated! Thank you!

I would probably contact the company just to be sure. That's what I do - better to be over cautious!

Im not sure about that brand in particular but good food grade silicone shouldn’t be easy to stretch and if you fold it or try to stretch it then it shouldn’t show any difference (weak spots, streaks, colour change kind of thing) to how it looks when relaxed.

I only use silicone if it meets the stretch and fold test I mentioned above and I never heat it past 220C. From everything I’ve read and learned about using silicone to cook in that’s my personal standard safety check. I also checked with the company if fillers were used in the making of their silicone bakeware and as they claim there are no fillers I am happy to use their silicone stuff- we have bags and all kinds of baking forms that are microwave and oven safe (freezer too) which we cook with nearly daily.
