... than a baby blue and gold?
This little one might very well be ours! not sure if it will be her because the breeder will have a few weaning at the same time and has a few older young ones available, so we'll go and choose our girl in december.

I'm soooo impatient as i've been dreaming of this day for over 10 years! but i've still got a lot to do. Her room needs macaw proofing, (she'll be cage free) huge indoor trees need building so she can have her own, (not having to share with my smaller guys) lots of toys to make... I feel like i've learnt all the basics over the years but still feel a little nervous. Life commitments will do that to me... I might have a few questions for you specialists along the way!

I spent soooo long hesitating between a blue and gold and a greenwing... I love them both but have interacted with more blue and golds so I ended up choosing the one I was more familiar with. (That... and the tales of gorgeous Chaos have traumatised me. i'm only half joking! he influenced my choice of a female. Haha)

Ohh the babies are sooo cute. They are just so lovely when they are little like that, mine is nearly one already and seeing that picture you posted took me straight back to all the feelings I had on the first day I went to visit my baby B&G. Congratulations on your new baby (even though she is a little way from coming home you will not stop thinking about her I bet), how very exciting for you

I'm so excited for you! Yes indeed that baby in the picture can sure capture hearts.
It is so wonderful to see people doing the research before sharing their homes with one of these beautiful creatures. Ten years - wow! That's a lot of dreams, and I just know there will be a Macaw who will be one lucky girl in December. Can't wait to see this.

I beg to differ - if pure ugliness counts, then there is nothing cuter than a tiny baby GW.

You made the right choice in a B&G. The intensity of a baby and adult GW is pretty high. Just ask @aooratrix - LOL. The B&Gs are quite a lot easier to handle as a baby and as an adult.

I happen to love the GWs, because although, they are a total PIA they are full of personality and complete con-artists.

Baby greenwings look like mini dinosaurs! I love them! maybe one day... but I'll have my hands more than full enough with my four. I think all big macs can be intense when they want to be.

I brought my baby home when he was just under six months old (24.5 weeks to be exact, lol). So many changes so fast with them, it has been a joy (I feel so blessed) watching him learn how to do things for the first time and then learning to perfect them.

Thank you! I hope they will all get along as well as they are now. They have lots of space, she's a baby and my three are not agressive so it should go well. Fingers crossed! I'm more worried about macawproofing my house just now. I don't have destructive birds... so i'm prepared to say bye bye to my peace of mind.

I had a call yesterday saying that he had a female ready for adoption and it took all I had in me to say no! I havn't finished her room just yet so I won't be 100% ready before early december... but I very badly wanted to shut my head off and shout "i'm on my way"!! I'm soooo impatient now.
