Is a large parrot cage safe for a budgie?

I have found someone is getting rid of a parrot cage and wondered if it might be ok for my budgie to use? I guess the only concern is the larger space between the cage bars. I don't think she can fit through them to get out but she might try?

It's the large cage on wheels, though I don't know if the wheels work and it might be a bit rusty but maybe I can clean the rust off....

Might be alright. Depends how big the spaces are. I looked it up and it says that the bar spacing that's okay for budgies is tops 1/2".

Anything over 1/2 inch I'd stay away from for budgies.

A standard flight cage is a great option for her, though. :)
HQ and A&E offer nice ones.

The bar spacing she could get out of then? I looked it up new online for the oriental style parrot cage it says bar spacing is 2.5cm.

2.5cm is 1 inch spacing. Way way way too big.

Easily get out with 1 inch spacing. My aviaries have 1.5 inch spacing. They can literally almost "fly" through them.
