I'm watching a friend's baby bearded dragon for a few weeks and she is just too cute! She's active, playful, sweet, and VERY fast! Due to this my mom won't let me take her out of her cage until I lizard-proof my room. Any tips for general care? She is on a diet of crickets, carrots, and a bit of apples and greens. (My mom feeds the crickets.)
KINDLE_CAMERA_1541024210000.jpg Here is Smaug! She has a UVB/heat lamp red light, I just turned it off momentarily for a quick photo.

Lizards are such interesting beautiful creatures. Are you not allowed to feed the crickets?

I can, I just hate bugs. Weird, tiny, fast-moving things with spindly legs and huge eyes. Uck.

The picture doesn't do her justice, her colors are so vibrant and beautiful! At the moment she's a little thing, about nine inches long.

Smaug is really active and entertaining to watch, especially compared to my friend's old leopard geckos that would do nothing but sleep for hours on end. (They died in a stair related accident.)

One of the better caresheets I’ve seen and it’s by Katie Michelle...realized her name wasn’t in the screenshots. If you are on Facebook it’s from the Lizard Enthusiasts Group.

Thanks! Really informative.

My friend currently keeps her in a 20-gallon tank but will upgrade as she grows. Perhaps for Christmas I'll get him a nice big one for her.

Make sure you have an infrared temp gun to check temps too:)

My first lizards were bearded dragons but I love the blue tongue skinks more because they don’t need crickets or roaches or even food that often haha
