Now they are moving their eggs. Soon as my foot sank in I jumped out quickly so didn't get bitten.

I hate fire ants! We treat every nest we see but neighbors don't treat them. Every time it rains I think the neighbors move over to our place:extremeanger:.

Those are small but guess they can pack a bite.

I saw one crawl up my moms leg in australia & it was huge...least 1/2inch.

She was screaming & they were fussing tryin to get it off & luckily she did not get bit.

Maybe it was a queen? It was huge!

Glad they're not here. I have somewhat of a phobia of ants after I accidentally stepped on a nest. I could feel them crawling and biting. It makes me jumpy to see 1000s of them crawling around.:confused:

They like to gang up on you and attack all at once.

I accidentally angered a few of them and didn't notice the bites much. Few minutes go by, I notice the burning... My toe was throbbing so hard that it felt like it was going to pop.

I had an allergic reaction to their bites. It took about 2 weeks to go back to normal.

ugh you're so lucky you didn't get bit, one got me once and it burned and burned, just one stupid ant. I can't imagine if they all started crawling up your leg and biting :arghh::wideyed::jawdrop1:
eww I just googled them and they just bite to grasp your skin and then they sting to inject their venom into you from their abdomen  eww eww eww
