Walking the driveway
I was driving home around 8:30 pm this evening and i saw a couple of wild birds on the edge of the road, and ON the road I saw a white/grey cockatiel! As I drove by it flew into a tree and I pulled over. I walked over to the tree and called it and it whistled back to me, even said pretty bird. I tried to get it to come down but it was scared and it was quite windy out side. I called my boyfriend and he brought a cage and some millet. We tried for over an hour with no luck, it kept flying from tree to tree (sometimes for long distances and we would loose it for a moment). At one point it was flying in a clearing of trees and about 5 other wild birds were flying around it, I think they were trying to attack it. This bird was a really good flyer Right before it got dark I lost sight of it while it flew to another tree (it was soo close to the express way/high way). After it got dark it stoped calling back when I would whistle and I lost it. I feel soo bummed out right now and worried for this little cockatiel It stormed earlier in the day and it was probably stuck out in it. I feel so bad that I couldnt get it to come down but know its not my fault. I would have just like for him to be safe and be back with its owner
Please say a prayer for this cockatiel
This was in Windsor, Ontario, Canada (at the corner of Rhodes and Wheelton drive)
I looked at pictures of cockatiels and it looks like a charcoal white face (there was no orange circles on it cheeks)
