Ya sorry about that I asked about the food at the exact same time as you posted the food hehe.

Always go by the "minimum" on filter ratings. If its rated 10-30 gallons, its good for 10 gallons. If its rated 30-70 gallons, its good for 30 gallons.

The smallest filter I would put as a main filter on a 35 gal tank is an aquaclear 70 which is rated 30-70 gallons. The Eheim is infinitely superior though. It's also a massive p.i.t.a. to service but the water quality is worth it.

When you compare the quality of construction and media capacity of the 2213 to the aquaclear 70 and compare prices the 2213 is way better value and the motors on them last like 20 years.

Is it an Aquaclear? Those are the second best hang on back filters. The best are the Fluval C series. Those things are so amazingly designed.

Are you in Toronto? Do you know what species of Cory you have?

No I didn't get the Aquaclear. That was my plan but I just got a Whisper. I know that they are not the best rated but that's what I've used for many years although a smaller sized filter.
My cories are Corydoras aeneus...bronze corydoras.
I'm located in the US.

aeneus are my fav. They are very fun to watch. Whisper is fine just run it like an aquaclear. The whisper cartridges are junk.

Are you near a Big Al's?

Big Al's is an excellent aquarium chain that is in Canada and the USA. Too bad you're not near one. :(

You can even buy stingrays and sharks there.

Many of the local aquarium stores have closed. There is a big one not that far. I think I went in there once and it was messy and smelly.

That's not good. What about an online forum or meeting place? Here we have GTAAquaria.com and kijiji.com where breeders sell high quality fish
