Pictures I made a wall perch!

Just put this together for my birds, super easy. I wanted something that will be neutral meeting ground /play area but didn't want to pay a fortune. This cost about $7. Over time I'll add more stuff to it! I also have a manzanita branch I want to attach to it.

I've been thinking a while now about building a play stand for my birds. I know I've probably seen similar but this thread has made me realise it would actually be easier if I build around 4 or 6 fixings in a wall. Great timing.

It seems daunting at first but then you realize it doesn't have to be complicated. I've been trying to come up with something for a few months but all were too much work haha

Wow - that's so good!!! How do you attach the poles at 90 degrees to the wall? I see you are a dab hand at making stands out of PVC pipes too.

Barbara Heidenreich uses shower curtain poles (covered in vet wrap) across the corner of a room which looks effective too.

I love the simplicity. My brain always comes up with something that looks like Rube Goldberg designed it.

We use one over our garden tub for Buzz's spray baths, but I didn't think to use them outside of the bathroom.

I just have nails in the wall and since the tubes are hollow...

I have hardwood floors so I just spray and that area daily and I usually put down newspaper.

Hey, guys just install closet hanger poles of wood.

I saw an antique stand a!one coat stand that so ma y places for a bird to sit. It was too large for me to get home. Then I thought about the kind of wood but no one seemed to know. Not many wooden hangers around any more.

I've added to the play gym! Next I'll be hanging a net on the right, in the corner. She seems to enjoy all of it except the manzanita branch. She really likes climbing and swinging around by one foot, both of which seem really good for her feet and ankles, not to mention her sassy bird brain.
