Extremely common macaw maneuver. Limited to only male macaws in my flock however they do it with both wing and tail feathers. Sam does it so much that his outer wing feathers are worn from it. Korbel stands on his tail and wing at the same time and ends up getting his foot stuck through his wing. Goodness help me if I am near as of course somehow that's my fault.

When they do the tail I always have this gut feeling it's sexual. I don't have much more to go on other than they seem upset when it doesn't "go right" and often become angry at the world that whatever they are doing is not working as planned.

My favorite preening style with macaws is when they are using the preening gland. The preening sounds different and it's very serious work. LOL

Nothing about macaws seems normal but when you have enough of them you can gauge a semi standard.

It's just a mushy style of preening they do. Often they are fluffed up and huddled down, really no rhythm to what they are preening. Lazy mushy preening.
Watch for when he uses the preening gland. It's not something you will see often. You will notice his butt fluffed up and he will reach back to touch the gland before preening an area. You will hear lots of sharp movements and zipping sounds. That's serious preening. While they don't mind some attention and a scratch during the session if you touch them they have to start over.

Anybody else's birds stand on their feathers? He's done this several times but I haven't been able to get a picture of it til now. His left foot is in the middle on both sides' feathers & his right foot is about halfway up. (see middle pic)

Cosmo was just doing this over the weekend. I take it to mean something like, I'm bored, but to comfortable and content to do anything about it.

Both my girls hate those balls, so when I'm mean I press one and then ASAP throw the ball away. (If I keep it they will attack me)

They poop all over the place. They throw food on the floor. They scream. They cost me a lot of money.
They force me to do a lot of things that I don't like. They also claims everything in this house as theirs.
They never give me any privacy at all. Not even when I'm doing Nr 2.
See in front of you that you are sitting in the toilet, doing things you normally never will do if someone can hear you.
When you looking up you see two (not so cute at that moment) girls staring at you and wonder what you are doing and what those noises are for.

I copy the video url. If you do that correct you should don't need Fb to see the video.
Often people copy the page url instead and that's why you can't see it if you don't have Fb.

I played the video again now when my girl's are awake.
It took Eliy two seconds to angry land on my shoulder.
But I was showing her Buzz and she did freeze. She kept staring at Buzz and that annoying ball, but she was not angry anymore.
I think Buzz have a Pi girl that likes him.
