Yes, seeing the cage would definitely help us help you.
If Coco keeps trying to escape the cage, keep the cage door open and leave treats in the cage so Coco can go there and get used to the cage when they feel like it.
For now I would close the cage door and cover the cage only when it is time for Coco to sleep, unless you have a very safe closed room Coco can sleep in, and without any humans that could roll over Coco in their sleep.
Having the cage in your room is a good idea if you spend most of your time in it.
At what time do you usually wake up in the morning?
And yes, Coco can sleep even with you being awake as long as the cage is covered and that you aren't making too much noise (small noise is ok, just don't be loud or watch tv/listen to music or videos without headphones)
