I'm a bit leery of using anything powdery around them - cornstarch, flour, Qwikstop, in case they inhale it. It's very hard to get it just on the nail that's bleeding.

The powdery stuff makes me sneeze. I've got the gel version of it, but haven't had an opportunity to use it.

I fixed a little container of the powder, and if somebirdy needs it I stick the toe straight down in there and right back out. No need for the face to be near it.
