Can she call the real avian vet that was recommended here? I'm concerned your old vet won't respond appropriately as they have already failed to give antibiotics.

We're on the way to our old vet. The other vet didn't have an opening, and the old vet is going to take her ASAP to emergency care

She's hospitalized overnight. Getting fluids through a tube. I'm relieved. They're x-raying her right now

Are antibiotics being given? You should call and demand them if they aren't. I'm sorry you are both going through this. Still praying she'll be okay.

Prayers up.... tell your mom I said thank you for taking her for care. Like others, I don't understand why they didn't give antibiotics.

Sending good thoughts. What a shame this couldn't have been prevented during the initial vet visit.

did anything happen to her today that you don't know about? She was doing so well and now this? She was able to hold her neck up before today, right?

She hadn't been able to hold up her neck at all since the attack. That was the drooping I mentioned. Here's her X-Ray. The neck is very abnormal, and bent.

Poor baby! Birds have a really crappy way of rallying right before they die :( It is heart breaking because they get so much better and seem to be on the mend then all of a sudden go downhill quick. I am so sorry and hoping Kiwi is one of the exceptions!!! :sadhug2:
