Pictures I bought Adélie a two storey townhouse

I know... I shouldn't have. I might have to take it away from her in a month but I thought at least she will get a month of fun from it.



So I went to pick up some millet, and I was just browsing the rodent stuff and there was a load of bird boxes and hamster houses on an end shelf all reduced. There was a cool one that was open bottom, on storey rat house, it was 9euros but it had a load of glue inside it which I did not trust. Then I found this one, 14.50 reduced to 6 and I was stood there for ages tyre kicking in the shop, I wasn't sure on size etc. But I grabbed it in the end..


And Ade watched me dismantle and remove everything from her cage, and put the new house in,


She wasn't sure, she explored it but didn't seem too happy with the new bed, she was very still.
I'm sure she'll love it once bedtime comes around





I wish I never put wood shavings in the top floor but oh well.

I had gotten something similar for Loki but she hated it lol. Probably for the best anyways since it is kind of a nest. Nice selfie with the condo.

There´s usually cool stuff there for birds. Especially for Adelie; platforms, ramps, stairs. She has a little wooden bridge that she loves to sit under like a troll.
I also have a (rabbit?) food bowl that I use for Lapis and Nubes veggies.

Yea, I was quite undecided in the shop because it is big and also she´s now coming up on 6 months so I don´t know when she will start getting all nesty. Lapis started at 6 months. Soo.... we´ll see how long it lasts. Sydney still sleeps in a nesting box, so if I have to take it from Adelie, I´m sure he´ll like it
Who knows... maybe her hormones will be delayed just like her growth and her weaning?

I did a bit of video call shopping last year with my mum. It´s from debenhams, I saw it and got her to rummage looking for my size

Loki is almost 16 months now and she hasn't started trying to gather nesting materials or aggressive with her sleep area. Her spaceship, as you call it, is kind of a nest but she only gets to go in there at night since it is a separate cage from her day cage. Also it has a clear top, so maybe that has helped. I do wonder if she is a boy sometimes even though she is DNA'd female, she has the attitude of a female sometimes but idk lol.

I went out for a BBQ, and when I got back I can´t see her anywhere so she must be inside, I can´t tell if she is in the top floor or bottom floor

@DoubleTake good to know. Lapis was with a cock so it could have triggered the hormones early for her.
