How to get my lovebird to destroy things?

My lovebird, Mango, has never liked to destroy things the way parrots usually do. He'll tug at them occasionally but usually ignores them. I am worried he is not getting the enrichment he needs. What can I do to persuade him to "play" with his toys?
p.s. He mostly likes strings and leather strips, but all he does is chew on them for a few seconds.
p.p.s Most people have a problem with birds destroying everything, but I have a problem because my bird doesn't destroy ANYTHING!!! (in a way, it has it's benefits ;) )

Get yucca or balsa wood. It's very soft. Push seeds and treats into the wood.

Get wooden toys with holes or slats made into them. Stuff with treats.

If you ever work on target training, you can teach your bird to target to a toy, then to "bite" the toy and eventually shape chewing up the toy.
