How to determine sex with examining pelvic area?

I have a set of sibling lovebirds (3 years apart). One is a DNA test confirmed male. Is there any truth behind being able to determine sex by examining the pelvic area? After 6 months they are finally just now getting along fairly well together outside of a cage. I am still reluctant at caging them together. Thanks!

Hey there! You absolutely 100% can not tell the gender by the pelvis of a bird. Not at all. My vet hypothesized the gender of my bird and was wrong. You have to get them DNA tested, there is no other way. The good news is, it's fairly easy to do! Good luck!

I think its easier for someone to tell who has never met the bird after she has already laid a clutch before. The pelvic this is not accurate, its only $19.50 to do a dna secing test through animal genetics.

Nope. The only way to tell (except for birds like budgies, with outwardly visible sexual dimorphism) is DNA testing.
