How to deal with the loss of my Rowdy bird?

Hi, I was Rowdys momma. He was a 28 year old blue and yellow Macaw. He may have been older, not sure due to him being a rescue. He was my baby. I still don't know what happened, but he passed away in my arms, with lot's of kisses, and lots of I love you Rowdy Bird. I see a huge empty cage now, with no color. My heart is broken And I don't know how to heal.

The second thing is that you have permission to grieve your Rowdy. You have lost an extremely important relationship and you don't need to try to heal for as long as it takes to mourn his passing.
