How many Birds Per Cage?

Question: I saw this nice cage, and many reviews said it was great for cockatiels. However, it is 14 d x 26 w. Is this too small? Prevue Hendryx Triple Roof Bird Cage & Reviews | Wayfair

That one is fairly awful because they can't fly straight across to get the height. What is the space and budget you have available? Perhaps we can be more helpful.

20 x 20 is most ideal, but i also can do 24 x 24. I mainly can't have something with a stand, i don't have room

I've never seen a 24x24 without a stand, probably because that cage depth is too awkward to carry.
However, 24x18" cages without stands are usually not too hard to find - and 25x21" is a common size if you can fit an extra inch. Both would be fine for 2 budgies that get out, although I wouldn't go smaller.

This one would be a nice cage for example - 25x21".
