Hi all,

I haven't found any reliable information on this yet, my breeder says that jardines can live between 40 and 50 years in captivity. Is he right?

Thanks!

They can live to 60, but most don't make it past 35

@Mizzely thanks for the help! Appreciate it :) Wish some of our feathered friends lived much longer :(

Just like people there are no guarantees. Even if you get a bird that should live until it's 90, it may be gone in its first decade, even with the best care. You can't concentrate on the promise of years. Instead, focus on the reality of each day and enjoy it while you can.

I'm looking for a Jardine's. Do you mind giving your breeder's name?
