I'm doing it the old-fashioned way.
Thick-bottomed saucepan, rapeseed oil/coconuts oil, and popcorn. And not to hot and to long.

Never heard of one of those. I've used a hot air popper for many many years. I've read that they're the best for popping corn. No oil, no salt, no nothing when popped just pure popped corn.
EDIT: I just looked it up on Amazon and It looks pretty good to me. It's a microwave version of a hot air popper.

I used to use an air popper, but it died, so now I put my kernels in a glass bowl, cover the top with a microwave-safe plate, and microwave until everything is popped. No oil required! Means the fids get to partake, too. :D

I occasionally pop them in the microwave oven in a covered perspex dish, nothing added. I keep meaning to pop them Eloy's way, as I don't really like microwaving food.

Actually, I don't own a microwave but I have used one and have popped corn in a small brown paper bag before.
I'm imagining the corn struggling to escape the brown paper bag! :roflmao:

How do you get the popcorn out of the pan so it doesn't burn while you're waiting for the rest of the kernels to pop?

Not to hot and remove the pan when it's not pooping instantly.
And shake the pan often.
Better to remove it to early so they not get burn.
The one not pooping you can soak and give the outside birds.

And I never put in some popcorn in the beginning as some suggest. And I start with full heat and lower when I put the popcorn in the pan.

Is that working? No water and oil added?
And using popcorn corn and not microwave popcorn?

I use an air popper. I don't add anything to the kernels.. I oddly like dry simple popcorn and I can share it with my fids.

My partner likes it full of butter and salt so he usually makes some sauce stuff to just put on his own serving.

I remember our first date back in 2001. He bought a large theater popcorn to share at the movies. He was so disappointed that I would not eat any of it. I think in his mind it would be this cute thing we did together, but nope I really don't like buttery popcorn..
He still teases me for eating it the way I do. :xflove:

I use microwave air popper. I believe 80's or 90's. A hand me down from my Dad. I own a different one I absolutely hate. I did the stove or the popcorn lung microwave bags before I owned the microwve air popper. I was wondering what if anything you may put on it for fids to eat spice wise?

I tried sprinkle of cinnamon. It was different. Not really good or bad. Buddy seemed to like it tho.

:hug2:

We either just put a hand full of kernels into a brown paper bag and fold the top over a few times then microwave till the popping slows right down or the kids use the air popper outside or in the bathroom with the window open and fan going....our air popper has Teflon inside it so it’s not used anywhere near Burt.
