Is she getting worse or is it just a bad day ? I was wondering if you could get heavy plastic and surround her cage not close enough for her to pull it through but hang it from the ceiling and let it drape to the floor all around her cage and pump O2 in that ....it wouldnt be perfect but she would have her cage and extra O2...then you could still give her her treatments on top ...you will be going through allot of O2 but you could tape the 3 1/2 sides and just have a small opening for you to get in and out and be able to clean ....it would be like a O2 tent around her cage if that is even possible ...just a thought ...I hope she is feeling better and you too :hug8::hug8:

She has that whistle breathing this morning.

We both have the same unit.

Oh, and my bird is blind for those who think mine should be clear. Lol

These pics are when I used my glass tank for nebulizing. This same setup could easily be used for O2. I did mine with the door (acrylic) on it's side because my bird would not go down into the tank but easily went in from the side. He also needed a perch in there to be comfortable. So a suction cup perch worked well.

You could go quite big with a glass tank with an acrylic door.

** Notice the toothpick in the top. The acrylic door created such a tight seal I had to let some air in for the nebulizer to flow properly.

That's just a bunch of fear mongering Danita. That young person is uninformed at best. Pay no attention to that.

All GW's with O2 boxes.... never really thought of that.... :(

They don't have to be airtight. You need the O2 to flow good. Even if you bought two huge tupperwares you could connect then together. You could buy lexsand and seal them together too if you wanted something big and permanent.

Forget your plastic comment. :)

I had noticed that the birds were all GWs, but didn't want to think about it.

@Danita - If it were poisonous to put them in plastic Jasper would have been dead many years ago. She gets an hour in the O2 in the morning and in the evening. This has been going on for 10 - 12 years.

Danita I also had concerns about that. I was nebulizing some pretty heavy meds (Amphotericin B) and I was concerned about the possibility of the med causing some kind of reaction with the plastic. Can't say if my concerns had any merit but I'm a worrier; so chose glass.

I'd be more worried about the Amphotericin B. :( Toxic stuff and mine was oral.

I think Danita is nebulizing in a plastic tote already. You can change your system over with ease Danita... or even get a bigger one so Coco could go in too.

I am going to take her to the vet today.
Get a new treatment plan.
She was wheezy last night.
I am wondering if she has a little cold or something.
I took her out last week in the sun, but the wind was cool, and that is when it all started to create the frequent bad spells she has.
