I am the current nip recipient of a one yr old male Pacific parrotlet, Quill. We are battling his need for a mate vs flock leader atm. It is going well actually. I am getting a female Pineapple conure in March hence the thumbnail.
My question is; with a little background.... Quill is coming from trimmed wings at 4 months old to fully flighted 1 yr old and is making the cutest noise while flying. It is a sort of coo like a dove. Do they all do that or is it special to him?

Quill is a cutie! I fostered a parrotlet for a bit, he didn't make a noise when he flew. But his little chirps were adorable.

Hey! :) I think I just wrote a response to cooing in your other post.

Also there is no flock leader in parrotlet society. Quill is very cute! I love the wild colouration. So striking!

Some more pictures of some wild guys for your enjoyment :geek:
