Help please

Hi.can someone please help re splayed legs in a budgie shes 5 weeks old ive put pipe cleaners on her legs shes still in nesting box in my kitchen mum is still feeding her.what i would like to k now please is if i take her out of nesting box and put her in her in her own modified cage will mum still feed her thankyou for letting me join and for reading this

My mind is a blank on who recently (or sometime in the past) helped a chick with splayed legs even though I know I’ve read about it a few times.

@PoukieBear might have some tips.

If you move the birds together the hen should still feed her chick. Is there only one chick?

So i can move the baby into its own cage can i and mum will still feed it ? It will be in a cage next to her and dad hope it will b ok my 2 birds are permantley inside

Keep the hen with her chick. Don´t split them up.

What happened to the other chicks?

Take this bird to a vet who can splint the leg for you.

A vet can wrap the legs for you, but you'll need to have assessments and rewrapping as needed, the baby is young enough to where it can corrected.. how splay is it? Can you post a pic? Others should be on to give help too.
