I've never handfed so can't offer advice. but it might help our more experienced handfeeders to know more about your situation. How much are you handfeeding and how many times a day are you feeding your bird? What are you using to handfeed - a spoon, a syringe or something else? What formula are you using, and what temperature are you heating it up to?
Can you tell us more about your bird? Are you the breeder or have you bought him or her?
I handfed a baby blue jay and it would quit begging and get quiet when it got full. I'm not sure all birds will be this way but I kept offering him food till he shut his beak signaling he was done. There was no forced feeding involved. Your bird may be different
