Hello! I have been the owner of a spunky little budgie name Drizzle for almost a year now. He comes out to fly around and will climb onto peoples hands. But when he is in his cage he bites anyone who comes close. Any ideas for how to proceed?

Many birds get territorial around their cage. Maybe you can target train him to come out, or train him to step up onto a stick.

I show mine a mirror, then they come out welcome!!!

My quaker is not aggressive but will not come out if you reach in to offer her a step. Instead, I greet her as I'm approaching and swing the door open and pretend I'm walking away. She will then climb to her "front door" and happily get on my finger when I turn around
