Hi everyone, I am doing lots of research hoping to get a parrot at some point (my other half isn't so keen yet). I've had budgies, lovebirds, a cockatiel and several finches so I'm not new to keeping birds. I love all types of animals and have a small but varied family of pets.

I'm a bit obsessed with doing research when getting any new pet. I have so many parrot books even of species I don't intend to own in case they have any tips that could be helpful

Also, for people not the original poster, that name/word has four syllables in it , and it's usually mispronounced by English-speaking people anyway, so most never really knows the difference......sa mu ra i

The last two Romanized characters sound like ah EE, which was spoken full speed turn into something that sounds like II


PS,My French is even even worse,Elle......Please tell me you've just got a thing for foreign sounding names, or my head may explode..... Way too many languages stuffed into it ;-)
