Hello, I'm new

Hi,
I'm melek & have just got a new budgie called Billy. Although I have lived with an African grey & a blue & gold macaw in the past, I haven't lived with a budgie since I was a child, so don't know all that much about them.
Hoping to get advice on this forum...

His/Her name is Billy. I'm a bit confused about the gender. Was told by breeder "young male". I have looked it up on the internet, but this has just confused me totally!
