Heat mat?

What type of heat mat is the best for a bird brooder? The human ones I saw at the store all had a safety shut off (60min), which I would think wouldn't work very well? Is there any that don't automatically turn off, or would a reptile under tank heat mat be better? I will be using a 10 gallon glass tank. Thanks

I've been told the best one to use for a bird brooder is a seed mat (for growing seedlings). It will not shut off after 60 minutes, and the temperature can be regulated.

They are fairly inexpensive on Amazon.
