Not onto my finger, but onto a perch! 
Wandering through the house sorting laundry and he really acted like he wanted to go with me, so after I finished putting the load on, I decided to try the perch and step up with a few beloved sliced almonds. He was leary at first, but he has learned "come here" usually means a treat and praise. Roma Stepped right onto the perch, got his treat, and stepped right back off! By the time we got done with his session, he was okay with me moving him and the perch from the top of his cage to the door!!
Roma was too skittish of the perch 2 months ago, so step training was put to a back burner to give him more time to adjust. First a few head scritches and teaching him how to play like a bird, and now step training. Baby steps 100% accepted!
