I had hung up a piece of millet spray in he cage. Of course, they started eating off the bottom first, but when they ran out of it on the bottom, and all that was left was on the top, Nico found his own way of doing things.

I use a clothespin, too. I tried a breadtie, but JoJo was fascinated by it and chewed through it before eating the millet. Often, people don't realize how intelligent parakeets are!
