Hi all has anyone with amazon parrots seen the birds pink anus protruding when it poops it does go straight back in after but I am worried he is straining he is 16 years old thanks

BUMP. I have never noticed my Amazon doing that. Your zon needs to see a vet. The straining and the anus behavior definiatey needs a vet exam.

This is normal for all parrots! No need to worry unless it doesn’t go back in.

Ditto to what jmfleish said. You can really see it with unfeathered babies. Or if you are watching from below.
