I just bought this bag of Harrison's pellets for my babies today, and noticed that the pellets had lots of darker discoloration to them. I've bought Harrison's a lot before but never noticed coloration like this. I wanted to know if this is safe to feed my birds or if this may be a bad batch? Feeding them what's left of the Zupreem until I get an answer about this bag of Harrison's

Roudybush is very responsive to customers (as is Harrison's) - they would very definitely want to know if there is anything wrong.

Which kind of Roudybush is that - they have many varieties and some have veggies & stuff in them.

Could be mold, or burnt. Definitely contact Roudybush before you feed it.

I would call them first, explain what you found and ask if they want it back. some companies do not want to bring something like mold back into their company. it a risk to contamination to their line.

Yeah, I agree with all the above. It's definitely worth checking with them. I've never contacted Roudybush, but Harrison's are excellent at responding and it sounds like they are too.

It may just be because the food uses actual real ingredients and so some changes in colour between batches is usual. If it isn't that I would imagine the bag might have a tiny bit of damage and has allowed mould in, or it hasn't been stored properly before you bought it.

It would be good to know the outcome in case it happens to someone else.
