One year ago, we found Harper crying in our bushes. My mother first discovered her crying out front when she left for work at 6am that morning. Later that night, she was still there, all alone. So my dad and I went outside, and I shoved myself between a tree and the bush so that I could reach her. We brought her inside. She was about a week old, and weighed only 5 ounces. She was skinny, and would hardly eat anything. We didn't think she was going to make it through the night, but she did. My dad and I spent the next couple weeks feeding her every two hours. I did all her feedings during the day, and then my dad and I would take turns waking up to feed her at night. I would play with her and cuddle with her during the day time. Harper was supposed to be my foster kitten. We were supposed to give her to my friend as a Birthday present. But we all bonded to her, especially me. So after a lot of thought, my parents decided to let me keep her. I was so happy.
Harper is a very active and playful cat, and she is also so loving. I love her so much, and couldn't be happier with our decision to keep her. Happy Gotcha Day Harper, I love you!
